Regarding Russia invasion on Ukraine

Hello all, am writing here because this topic has been locked. I condemn with whole my heart what Russia is currently doing - no questions asdked. But I also think that - in light of current multinational sanctions against Russia -  - all core-team devewlopers of PHP that are of Russia nationality should be banned, - their contributions should be removed, from whole php org on GitHub. I fully understand that removing contributions of such users like nikic will break php as a script, but I think that this is the only viablle way to protest against what Russia is doing; to show that Russian people are welcomed no more anywhere. This is beyond absurd to the point that I have to assume you're trolling, because the alternative is that you are both intensely racist and intensely stupid. Or perhaps all three. Normally I would advocate for a gentler touch when someone says something wrong, but this is so far beyond rational that it doesn't deserve a gentle response. --Larry Garfield

100% agree with Larry. Banning people from PHP based solely on their ethnicity is easily the stupidest, most blatantly racist idea I have ever seen proposed here. Absolutely shameful.

I took this as a satirical take on how many other sectors are reacting to Russian invasion, not an actual position being advocated for.
